Consisting of diverse habitats, Bryce Canyon is home to several different species and plant communities. Bryce Canyon houses 59 animal species, 175 species of birds, 11 species of reptiles and over 60 species of butterflies. Mule deer, Utah prairie dogs, chickadees, ravens and Steller’s Jay are common to see.
Please remember to never feed any of the wildlife you might encounter in the park and surrounding areas.
Bird Watching
Bryce Canyon National Park is the best place to birdwatch. Home to a vast and diverse habitat of 175 species of birds. Throughout the year, different birds migrate to Bryce while some have chosen Bryce as their permanent home.
