Journey Through Time: The Story of Bryce Canyon

As interest in Bryce Canyon grew, conservationists and the U.S. Park Service recognized the need to find ways to protect its fragile wonders. Today, initiatives like the Night Skies program help safeguard the park’s nocturnal habitats and keep its starry skies brilliantly clear.

The Lodge at Bryce Canyon

Built in 1925 by the Utah Parks Company as part of a Union Pacific railroad project, The Lodge at Bryce Canyon welcomed its first guests to the heart of the park. Constructed from local materials, the lodge’s rustic charm remained intact, earning it National Historic Landmark status in 1987.
